Deputy Head of Accounting
Make Up For Ever seeks a Deputy Head of Accounting in Gennevilliers, France — 6‑month contract, full‑time, responsible for closings, ERP and a team of three.

Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all company monthly accounting closings, ensuring compliance with group deadlines and internal controls.
- Supervise and control periodic accounting operations and ad hoc accounting tasks, guaranteeing accuracy of financial records.
- Manage the functioning and continuous improvement of the ERP in collaboration with IT, including planning and coordinating system enhancements to improve efficiency and security.
- Supervise preparation and submission of statutory and fiscal declarations, ensuring timely compliance with legal deadlines.
- Ensure effective management of accounts receivable, credit insurance policies and collections processes in partnership with the AR team.
- Identify and propose process and tool improvements to strengthen accounting workflows and internal controls.
- Participate in cross‑functional finance projects and support implementation efforts.
- Line-manage a team of three accountants, including coaching, workload allocation and performance follow-up.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from a business school, engineering school or equivalent university degree; DSCG is a strong advantage.
- Minimum five years’ proven experience in a similar accounting role, ideally complemented by experience in an audit or accounting firm.
- Practical experience with ERP systems and accounting platforms; familiarity with AX and Esker is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Rigorous attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to adapt across heterogeneous internal stakeholders.

Minimum 5 years in an accounting role with responsibility for month‑end closings; experience in audit or public accounting preferred.
Education
Master’s degree in business, engineering or equivalent university qualification; DSCG highly desirable.
