Maison Margiela seeks a Store Manager in León, Mexico to lead the MM6 boutique—drive sales, clienteling, inventory and team development.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead store performance to achieve sales and profitability targets through proactive action plans in coordination with the Retail Manager.
  • Set, monitor and drive daily, monthly and long-term sales objectives while adapting quickly to market changes and short-term pressures.
  • Manage omnichannel operations and ensure full compliance with Maison Margiela and OTB group retail standards and procedures.
  • Oversee inventory management: review assortments, optimize stock levels and mix to reflect buying trends and customer demand.
  • Analyse CRM data to develop and execute clienteling, acquisition and retention activities tailored to local and tourist clientele.
  • Recruit, train and develop store staff; evaluate performance, create schedules and maintain a high-performing, service-oriented team.
  • Implement and maintain visual merchandising, store presentation and housekeeping standards in accordance with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure store safety, loss-prevention and emergency preparedness; respond appropriately to incidents (theft, fire, natural disasters).

Qualifications

  • Proven retail management experience in fashion, jewelry or lifestyle brands—preferably in luxury or contemporary segments.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving store profitability.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills with experience recruiting, coaching and developing retail teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and storytelling skills with a customer-centric approach to deliver personalised client experiences.
  • Operational competency in inventory control, merchandising/visual standards and omnichannel store processes.
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to engage an international clientele; multilingual ability is an asset.

Experience

Proven experience managing a boutique or multi-category retail store, ideally within luxury or contemporary fashion; demonstrable success in achieving sales targets, executing CRM-driven clienteling, overseeing inventory and delivering high retail standards.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, fashion or a related field preferred.
