Intellectual Property Legal Intern

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

• Monitor intellectual property rights portfolios, including trademarks, designs, and domain names, in collaboration with Industrial Property Advisors.
• Conduct availability searches for trademarks and product names, and research the state of the art in designs and models.
• Validate projects and perform risk analysis for new product launches.
• Draft and review contracts such as collaboration agreements and copyright licenses.
• Participate in the management and monitoring of pre-litigation and litigation processes, including success probability studies, cease-and-desist letters, and settlement protocols.
• Conduct legal watch in intellectual property law.
• Research case law and draft legal notes.
• Assist in conducting intellectual property audits.

Qualifications

• Student in law with a specialization in intellectual property.
• Previous experience in a law firm is an advantage.
• Prior internship in intellectual property is beneficial.
• Organized with strong writing skills.
• Proficient in legal databases and IT tools.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit.

No prior experience required, though a previous internship in intellectual property or experience in a law firm is advantageous.

Education

Currently studying law with a specialization in intellectual property.
