Assistant Boutique Manager
Moynat seeks an Assistant Boutique Manager in London (Harrods) to lead sales, operations and clienteling for its luxury leather goods boutique.
Overview
Moynat is a Parisian maison renowned for its artisanal leather goods and heritage trunk-making. The brand operates a selective global boutique network that emphasises craftsmanship, understated luxury and personalised client service; its retail teams are expected to represent a refined brand DNA while delivering high-touch customer experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as a brand ambassador and model Moynat’s service standards and visual identity across the boutique.
- Support the Boutique Manager in leading the sales team through briefings, target-setting, direct coaching and performance reviews to drive profitable sales and KPI delivery.
- Manage day-to-day store operations including cash handling, weekly banking, daily reconciliations, sales reporting and liaising with UK Finance and Head Office.
- Implement stock-control procedures: conduct weekly rotative inventories, participate in bi‑annual stocktakes and maintain stockroom standards to minimise shrinkage.
- Monitor and communicate sales targets and KPIs; develop and coach sales consultants to improve personal selling and clientelling techniques.
- Assist with visual merchandising implementation and maintain boutique presentation to reflect brand guidelines.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally; cultivate and develop long‑term client relationships to build loyalty and repeat business.
- Oversee administrative tasks and ensure compliance with company policies and operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in luxury retail with demonstrable people-management responsibilities.
- Proven background in leather goods or accessories sales within a high‑end fashion environment.
- Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and managing retail KPIs.
- Excellent personal presentation and ability to embody the Moynat brand DNA.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to coach and develop sales teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Skills
Experience
Minimum five years in luxury retail, including direct management of sales teams and hands‑on experience selling leather goods or accessories in a premium boutique environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; formal retail, luxury brand or hospitality training preferred.
