Role & Responsibilities
- Execute daily operational tasks across the workshop, demonstrating comprehensive understanding of team functions and production processes.
- Monitor workflow to ensure quantity and quality targets are met; identify bottlenecks and escalate equipment, material or process issues to the Supervisor.
- Assign tasks and define procedures to optimise departmental throughput while following direction from the department Supervisor.
- Ensure all output complies with Louis Vuitton quality standards and internal quality controls.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, perform 5S audits to maintain organisation and safety, and recommend process changes.
- Maintain clear communication with the Supervisor regarding operational issues affecting other departments and follow up on exceptions.
- Manage departmental workload effectively to meet deadlines and support cross-functional projects in safety, quality and productivity.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment, preferably with leather goods and/or textiles.
- Proven ability to execute manual production tasks and support operational decision-making on the shop floor.
- Computer literate with competence to use basic production tracking or communication tools.
- Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills; able to interact with operators and upper management.
- Highly adaptable, resilient under pressure, with demonstrated integrity, discretion and reliability.
- Available to work on-site on the second shift and to work overtime as operationally required.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years in a workshop or manufacturing environment, ideally within leather goods or textiles; experience coordinating tasks and driving shop-floor improvements preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in leathercraft, textiles or manufacturing operations is preferred.
