Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure ongoing accuracy, reliability, and integrity of accounts receivable financial accounting.
  • Plan, organize, and control accounts receivable for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing under Group guidelines.
  • Perform revenue recognition, collection, and reconciliation of accounts receivable and related accounting.
  • Report monthly sales, accounts receivable aging, cash forecasts, and conduct management analysis.
  • Manage customer refund communications and invoicing, including collection and related accounting.
  • Execute annual closing tasks for accounts receivable, including financial closing and tax filing reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain and manage payment methods, including credit card terminals and merchant accounts.
  • Interact with stores for revenue recognition, accounts receivable booking, collection, reconciliation, and customer refunds.
  • Investigate and resolve inquiries and issues regarding accounts receivable.
  • Support financial projects, including new payment service provider implementation and store operation improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Bookkeeping certificate grade 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and Japanese tax regulations related to accounts receivable.

Skills

Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP), Word, and communication tools such as Microsoft Teams. Experience with SAP is a plus. Fluent in Japanese and business-level English.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the retail industry, including high-volume transactions and/or credit management.

Education

Bookkeeping certificate grade 2 or equivalent qualification.
