Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and schedule a team of artisans; organise daily workshop activities and enforce company policies and safety procedures.
- Set and track productivity and quality KPIs (service rate, turnaround time, first-inspection quality, post-repair returns) and drive continuous improvement to meet targets.
- Manage capacity planning, weekly production schedules and material/equipment needs to ensure service rate >85% (under 14-day turnover) and quality goals.
- Oversee technical operations: apply Louis Vuitton repair specifications, collaborate with Central Technical team to validate standard times and resolve technical obstacles.
- Implement and sustain lean workshop practices (optimal layout, flow management, 5S) and lead problem-solving (root cause analysis, Kaizen) activities.
- Coordinate rush repairs and logistics with Customer Service to meet same-day or 2-day shipment commitments.
- Maintain equipment safety and preventive maintenance routines; manage procurement of workshop tools and materials and monthly shredding processes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a supervisory or lead role within a repair, production or workshop environment; luxury leather goods experience preferred.
- Practical knowledge of sewing on leather/canvas is a plus.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to produce presentations and analytical reports.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (JDE and/or SAP) preferred.
- Experience using lean manufacturing tools (value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Gemba Walks) and root cause problem solving.
- Strong attention to detail, quality and safety orientation; proven team management and coaching skills.
- English required; Spanish language skills are a plus.
