Overview

The IME LVMH (Institut des Métiers d’Excellence) is LVMH’s global vocational training initiative that preserves and transmits artisanal know‑how across creation, craft and retail métiers. In partnership with accredited institutions such as the Politecnico Calzaturiero and with the Group’s Maisons, IME combines classroom instruction with on‑the‑job placements inside leading luxury maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Complete an 800‑hour integrated training pathway (400 hours classroom/lab at Politecnico Calzaturiero and 400 hours of company placement within a partner Maison).
  • Undertake hands‑on production tasks in women’s luxury footwear including preparation, lasting/mounting, stitching and finishing under the supervision of experienced artisans.
  • Apply technical instructions and workmanship standards to deliver high‑quality footwear components and finished products.
  • Participate in Master Classes, educational visits to Maisons and sessions on technical English terminology as part of the curriculum.
  • Contribute to atelier production workflows, maintain workplace organisation and adhere to quality and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Italian citizen, EU national, or non‑EU national with valid residence or work permit.
  • Resident or domiciled in the Veneto region.
  • Age between 18 and 29.
  • Not enrolled in any formal course of study and currently unemployed (seeking first employment).
  • Completion of compulsory schooling.
  • Registration with the Garanzia Giovani programme in Veneto and possession of a signed Patto di Servizio from the local Centro per l'Impiego.
  • Manual aptitude, patience, precision and strong attention to detail.

Skills

Experience

Entry‑level role intended for candidates with little or no prior professional experience in footwear manufacturing; practical manual experience or prior vocational training is advantageous.

Education

Minimum: completion of compulsory schooling. Vocational training in footwear or related artisanal crafts is advantageous.
