Overview

Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze production plans in collaboration with the production planning manager to ensure material availability aligned with the production schedule.
- Prepare and present retro‑planning for the timely issuance of purchase orders.
- Issue purchase orders for raw materials in compliance with the production plan; evaluate purchase proposals using MRP and DiBa outputs.
- Interface with development, industrialization and pattern‑making teams to validate materials prior to ordering.
- Monitor and expedite supplier deliveries (quantities and lead times) and update inventory and order status in the D‑Moda system.
- Coordinate material loadings and handovers with logistics.
- Perform monthly reviews of purchasing activity and reconcile warehouse stock with controlling/management reporting.
- Assess supplier workloads, plan orders accordingly and conduct periodic reviews with Supply Chain to monitor supplier performance and workload distribution among manufacturers.
Qualifications
- Diploma or university degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement/purchasing within production environments, preferably in the fashion or footwear sector.
- Excellent command of Excel and general IT tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, organisational autonomy and flexibility.
- Working knowledge of English.
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in procurement, purchasing or materials planning within a production setting; experience in fashion or footwear manufacturing is strongly preferred. Demonstrated exposure to supplier management, order planning and use of MRP tools is required.
Education
Diploma (high school) or university degree in a relevant discipline.
