Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the general accounting team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the quality of general accounting work.
  • Oversee and supervise monthly financial closings.
  • Review financial statements, annual reports, and legal documents for French entities.
  • Supervise the preparation of documentation for VAT, tax audits, URSSAF, and external auditors.
  • Conduct internal training sessions on regulatory updates and best practices.
  • Maintain technical vigilance and disseminate accounting updates and their impacts on French entities.
  • Lead finance projects on the roadmap, including FEC, DEB, PDP, electronic invoicing, and transactional accounting.
  • Manage major accounting flows in collaboration with the financial community: Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in general accounting, with significant experience in an accounting firm.
  • Proficient in French accounting standards and knowledgeable in international standards (IFRS).
  • Strong command of French taxation.
  • Proven managerial capabilities and team leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, curiosity, proactivity, and initiative.

Skills

Proficiency in SAP. Knowledge of Power BI and Cegid is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively, especially in project mode with other Accounting Managers (retail and industry). Interest in digital tools and innovative solutions for accounting efficiency.

Experience

A minimum of 10 years in general accounting, with substantial experience in an accounting firm.
