Retail Operations Intern (EMEA)

Overview

Loro Piana is an Italian maison renowned for its exceptional textiles and understated luxury apparel. As part of a major luxury conglomerate, the brand is characterized by an artisanal approach, meticulous quality standards and global retail operations serving selective markets.

Role & Responsibilities

• Support the rollout of Retail Operations initiatives and new projects across the EMEA network.
• Manage operational tasks for store openings, relocations and renovations, ensuring timely delivery against action plans and budgetary constraints.
• Assist implementation of headquarters’ processes and ensure local compliance with operational guidelines.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with Buying, Supply Chain and IT to drive project execution.
• Support initiatives to increase store productivity and ensure control measures are defined and maintained.
• Execute administrative post‑sales activities and quality checks in accordance with company procedures.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational support to Store Managers and liaise with stores to promote best practices.
• Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly and seasonal reports on key KPIs (sell‑through, delivery, full price vs markdown, shortages, special orders, shop‑to‑shop transfers, consignments) and perform related analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in business or a related discipline.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken; additional languages are advantageous.
• Excellent analytical aptitude with advanced Excel and Power Point skills.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive, accurate and solution‑oriented approach to operational challenges.
• Previous retail experience or internships in operations, analysis, marketing or buying is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP Retail is preferable.
