Operations Specialist

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound shipments, coordinate transfers, and ensure accurate processing of all logistics documentation.
• Oversee movement of merchandise from stockroom to sales floor and maintain replenishment levels aligned with sales potential.
• Conduct cycle counts and regular inventory audits according to corporate calendar; identify and report discrepancies promptly.
• Implement and maintain stockroom organisation, labelling and an optimized warehouse layout to improve accessibility for the sales team.
• Perform security inspections and product preparations for display to support loss-prevention and merchandising standards.
• Communicate effectively with store operations, the wider operations team and external couriers to ensure timely delivery and correct shipping procedures.
• Provide the sales team with timely inventory availability updates to support client service and sales performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of operations and inventory experience, preferably within luxury retail or premium boutique environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP; comfortable adopting other digital inventory tools and POS/ERP workflows.
• Demonstrated competency in cycle counting, inventory control, stockroom organisation and audit procedures.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and process discipline.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks associated with stock handling.

Skills

Experience

Minimum three years in operations, logistics or inventory control roles, with proven experience in cycle counts, stockroom management and shipment processing; luxury retail experience strongly preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in logistics, supply chain, business or a related field preferred.
