Groupe Bon Marché — Paris: Purchasing Assistant Intern (Stage) in Buying & Merchandising, full-time, 4-month internship starting April 2026.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Lifestyle and private-label Buying Manager with day-to-day procurement and merchandising operations.
  • Process, enter and monitor supplier purchase orders and maintain administrative order files.
  • Create and update supplier records and maintain supplier listings.
  • Maintain and refresh purchasing books and procurement documentation.
  • Coordinate communications and exchanges with suppliers and internal stakeholders (Purchasing, Marketing).
  • Attend supplier meetings as required and assist with ad hoc vendor appointments.
  • Produce productivity reports, Excel tracking tables and PowerPoint presentations to support buying decisions and project work.

Qualifications

  • Master’s level (Bac+4/5) academic background with a specialization in merchandising, buying or a related discipline.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken (mandatory).
  • Full professional proficiency with Microsoft Office suite — Excel and PowerPoint in particular — and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage time and tasks autonomously.
  • Interest in retail, luxury and lifestyle trends and capacity to work in multicultural teams.

Experience

Open to entry-level candidates; a prior internship or year-out experience in buying, merchandising or retail is desirable but not required.

Education
