Le Bon Marché — Paris seeks a part-time Cash Office Administrative Assistant (24h/week) to manage cash counting, reconciliations and SAP bookkeeping.

Role & Responsibilities
- Process incoming cash bag cartridges: empty cartridges, sort and file cash pocket envelopes by commercial department.
- Count cash receipts, identify and investigate cash variances, and prepare cash advances for departments.
- Operate coin-rolling and cash-counting machines to prepare coin rolls and ensure currency accuracy.
- Control and prepare bank deposits including foreign currency (US dollars) and coordinate presentations to the bank.
- Process cheques, meal vouchers (tickets restaurant) and discount vouchers from Le Bon Marché and the two La Grande Épicerie de Paris stores: pointage, adjustments, electronic transmission and follow-up of unpaid cheques.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and weekly adjustments for vouchers and discount instruments to prepare month‑end accounting.
- Post cash and bank deposit entries using SAP, perform account reconciliations and correct discrepancies.
- Produce and maintain operational reporting related to the cash office activity and escalate anomalies to the Cash Office Manager.
Qualifications
- First experience in retail or distribution, ideally in cashiering, cash office or payments processing.
- Demonstrated numerical accuracy and attention to detail in cash handling and reconciliations.
- Dependable, punctual and discreet with confidential financial information.
- Organised and methodical, able to follow procedures and maintain clear documentation.
- Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative team spirit.

Experience
Entry-level: a first professional experience in commerce, retail or cash handling is expected; experience specifically in cashiering, cash office operations or payments processing is an advantage.
Education
Secondary school diploma (Baccalauréat) or equivalent; vocational training in commerce/retail or accounting is a plus.
