Role & Responsibilities

  • Break down carcasses and prepare cuts of meat to the house specification.
  • Provide high-quality, consultative customer service: welcome clients, assess needs, make product recommendations and upsell complementary items.
  • Prepare and present products for sale: portioning, packaging, labeling, opening/closing the counter, merchandising and signage.
  • Manage stock: restocking, rotation (DLC monitoring), shrinkage control and unpacking deliveries.
  • Maintain daily department operations: strict compliance with hygiene and safety rules, cleaning, inventories and general upkeep of the counter.

Qualifications

  • Vocational qualification in butchery or equivalent professional training.
  • Proven practical butchery skills; ability to work carcasses and perform precise portioning.
  • Strong customer-facing aptitude with commercial awareness and a sales orientation.
  • Rigorous approach to hygiene, organization and stock management.
  • Ability to communicate in English with customers and colleagues.

Experience
