Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce front-end architecture principles, frameworks, and component libraries.
  • Co-design the front-end strategy in collaboration with architects, product, and platform tech lead.
  • Review pull requests and set best practices for performance, accessibility, and testing.
  • Promote shared UI components and enforce consistent design system usage across brands/products.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Designers, and Back-End Engineers to build coherent, testable features.
  • Select and maintain front-end tools, analyze performance, and improve load time and runtime behavior.
  • Encourage automation of tests (unit, e2e, visual regression) and track key metrics such as LCP, CLS, and error rate.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in front-end development, including 1 to 2 years as a front-end lead developer or front-end technical lead.
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, performance optimization, and SSR/CSR/ISR.
  • Ability to collaborate with designers and think user-first.
  • Experience in scalable architecture, code reuse, and cross-team UI patterns.
  • Ability to deliver quickly while maintaining high technical quality.
  • Proficiency in both English and French.

Skills

Deep understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript. Strong analytical skills and structured problem-solving. Clear, structured communication and ability to lead by influence. Autonomy, proactivity, and accountability. Experience with Next.js, headless frontends, and composable backends.

Experience

5 years of experience in front-end development, including 1 to 2 years as a front-end lead developer or front-end technical lead.
