Assistant Product Marketing Manager — Eyewear
Kering Eyewear in Shanghai seeks an Assistant Product Marketing Manager to manage product development, assortment and marketing for luxury eyewear brands.
Overview
Kering Eyewear is the dedicated eyewear division within the Kering group, recognised for designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing luxury and high-end frames and sunglasses. The entity partners with a portfolio of prestigious fashion houses and sports & lifestyle brands to deliver creative, technically advanced eyewear collections on a global scale.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own product responsibilities for 5–6 luxury eyewear brands across product development, assortment, sample management and marketing activities.
- Lead seasonal product coordination with APAC and HQ, providing regular feedback and commercial recommendations on new releases.
- Drive special product development projects (exclusive models, capsule collections), managing timelines, stakeholder communications and proposals to HQ.
- Plan and execute product assortments for multi-brand promotions, buying events and roadshows; manage showroom and daily sample inventory.
- Manage PR sample seeding with fashion houses and PR agencies, recommend items for shoots, maintain PR exposure visuals and monthly PR exposure reports.
- Prepare product launch plans, positioning, key storylines and supporting selling tools (leaflets, brochures, PDP); edit content for WeChat and video channels.
- Conduct regular market visits, competitor analysis and client feedback cycles to inform assortment and product strategy.
- Coordinate 360° go-to-market projects across product, communication, visual merchandising, trade marketing and commercial teams to ensure on-time execution.
- Support B2B activities and maintain accurate seeding, lending and stock records; travel up to approximately 10% during peak periods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of professional experience, including 2–3 years in product-related roles; experience in eyewear, cosmetics or outdoor sectors is a plus.
- Good command of English (verbal and written).
- Proven ability to manage cross‑functional projects and to prioritise competing demands.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and excellent time management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable liaising with regional HQ, APAC teams, sales and external agencies.
- Proactive, hands‑on problem solver able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 10% at peak).

Experience
3–5 years of relevant experience with 2–3 years in product roles; demonstrable track record of managing product launches, sample programmes and cross‑functional GTM projects. Experience in luxury goods, eyewear, cosmetics or outdoor segments is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree.
