Role & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate communication between Tech Leads across multiple data domains.
  • Serve as a central synchronization point to ensure shared understanding of priorities, dependencies, and risks.
  • Relay chapter strategy, vision, and key messages consistently across squads.
  • Ensure harmonization of engineering and analytics practices across domains.
  • Promote chapter-wide standards related to code quality, data engineering best practices, observability, documentation, and delivery.
  • Support Tech Leads in applying architecture, governance, and platform guidelines.
  • Ensure the follow-up of transversal initiatives such as engineering foundations, tooling, and quality improvements.
  • Identify, consolidate, and escalate risks, dependencies, and structural needs across domains.
  • Contribute to delivery predictability by monitoring progress and highlighting potential blockers.
  • Centralize information from different squads and domains to provide clear visibility to chapter leadership.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Engineering & Analytics and other chapters.
  • Support alignment between business priorities and engineering execution.
  • Support Tech Leads in their role, helping them navigate complexity and grow as technical leaders.
  • Foster a strong Engineering & Analytics community, encouraging knowledge sharing and collective ownership.
  • Encourage a culture of transparency, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Senior Engineer, or Engineering Manager in a data or software engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering and analytics concepts, platforms, and delivery constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across teams and domains without relying on hierarchical authority.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics and create alignment.
  • Proficient in SQL, ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and databases such as Oracle and BigQuery.
  • Strong knowledge in GCP cloud computing, especially in data services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Airflow.
  • Strong expertise with DBT.
  • Experience in agile@scale environments and familiarity with agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Organized, structured, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Empathetic, collaborative, and open-minded, with a natural leadership posture.
  • Fluent in English.
