Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the jewelry design team through all phases of the seasonal design calendar, from initial concept to finished sample.
  • Collaborate with the senior design director and cross-functional partners to ensure design intent is executed in development and production.
  • Research trends, materials and fabrication techniques to develop fresh, playful jewelry collections aligned with the Kate Spade DNA.
  • Create and maintain accurate spec sheets and technical packages for development and production handoff.
  • Prepare seasonal mood boards and present concepts to cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain material libraries, component archives and reference samples.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, Jewelry Design, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0+ years of experience in jewelry design with practical technical knowledge of jewelry construction and development.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CAD rendering.
  • Highly detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Keen aesthetic sensibility, trend awareness and a genuine affinity for the Kate Spade brand.

Experience

Open to entry-level candidates (0+ years) with hands-on technical familiarity in jewelry design and development; prior internship or assistant-level experience in accessories or jewelry design is advantageous.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, Jewelry Design, or related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
