Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end procurement for watch movement components, including strategic sourcing, RFQs, supplier selection and contracting.
- Manage and develop the supplier base to ensure quality, cost competitiveness and on‑time delivery of precision components.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing frameworks and long‑term agreements to optimise total cost of ownership.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities with R&D, engineering, quality and production to align sourcing strategy with product roadmaps and manufacturability.
- Drive supplier performance through KPIs, audits, corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain demand forecasts, inventory targets and procurement plans to secure supply continuity and mitigate risks.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers, including technical assessments and qualification of manufacturing processes specific to movements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably within the watchmaking or precision manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation of complex supplier contracts and supplier performance management.
- Technical understanding of mechanical watch movements and their component technologies (gear trains, escapements, bridges, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost‑down initiatives and total cost of ownership assessments.
- Ability to manage cross‑functional stakeholders and to travel for supplier audits and qualification as required.

Experience
At least 5 years of procurement or sourcing experience, with demonstrable exposure to watch movements or precision components; experience managing supplier relationships, negotiations and supplier qualification processes is required.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related technical discipline; advanced degree or professional procurement certification is advantageous.
