Junior Accountant

Role & Responsibilities

• Report to the Head of Accounting and support day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities with meticulous adherence to internal controls and procedures.
• Scan, index and process supplier invoices; initiate validation workflows and post accounting entries in the ERP (Pro Concept).
• Maintain and update supplier master data; reconcile supplier statements and manage reminder follow-ups.
• Monitor and allocate daily cash receipts, communicate collections to stakeholders and follow up on outstanding positions.
• Prepare and process intercompany re-invoicing and other chargebacks as required.
• Control and reconcile cash registers across retail boutiques and assist with daily cash controls and periodic cash counts.

Qualifications

• Federal VET Diploma in Commercial Practice (CFC) or equivalent commercial/finance qualification.
• First professional experience in accounting required; internships or apprenticeships accepted and considered.
• Proven proficiency with MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with an ERP system; knowledge of Pro Concept or SAP is an advantage.
• Strong command of English (oral and written).
• High level of accuracy, organisational rigour and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Collaborative demeanour with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to learn quickly.

Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including hands-on exposure to accounts payable/accounts receivable processes; internships or apprenticeship experience may be considered.

Education

Federal VET Diploma in Commercial Practice (CFC) or equivalent
