Hermès India seeks a Store Manager in Mumbai to lead a luxury boutique, drive sales and deliver exemplary client service.

Overview

Hermès is an internationally recognised French luxury maison renowned for exceptional craftsmanship in leather goods, silk, ready-to-wear and accessories. The role is with Hermès India Retail and Distributors Pvt Ltd, the local retail subsidiary responsible for operating Hermès boutiques and representing the brand's heritage and service standards in India.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day store operations to deliver outstanding client service and preserve Hermès brand standards.
  • Drive sales performance and attainment of commercial KPIs through targeted coaching, clienteling and execution of retail initiatives.
  • Recruit, develop and motivate a high-performing store team; conduct performance reviews and implement learning plans.
  • Manage visual merchandising and store presentation to ensure consistency with global directives and local commercial needs.
  • Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment and loss-prevention procedures to protect store profitability.
  • Prepare and analyse sales reports, budgets and forecasts; implement corrective actions to maximise store results.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling, administrative processes, HR policies and local regulatory requirements.
  • Cultivate long-term client relationships and a personalised service experience to increase loyalty and repeat business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in retail management, preferably within luxury or premium fashion brands.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store P&L or commercial KPIs.
  • Demonstrated leadership in recruiting, coaching and developing front-line retail teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, numeracy and the ability to analyse sales performance and implement actions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills with a meticulous attention to brand presentation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as required by boutique operations.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of progressive retail management experience, ideally within luxury fashion or premium lifestyle retail, with demonstrable success in driving sales, managing teams and overseeing store operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related discipline preferred.
