Hermès Distribution France seeks a Retail Planning Business Analyst (Apprenticeship) in Paris — 12‑month apprenticeship starting Sept 2026.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor weekly and monthly KPIs by product category, collection and store (revenue, months of stock, sell-through, delivery rates).
  • Collaborate with merchandisers to frame and pilot stock replenishments and assortment decisions.
  • Track collection delivery performance and service rates for permanent items; liaise with logistics and product teams to resolve supply issues.
  • Define and maintain automatic replenishment thresholds for permanent product ranges.
  • Produce short-term sales forecasts for permanent items and Peak Inventory Cycles (PIC).
  • Construct and manage open-to-buy budgets for showroom purchases by department and by store, aligned to stock positions.
  • Monitor daily purchasing activity against budgets and identify top buys; prepare end-of-campaign summary reports.
  • Develop and optimise reporting tools, create ad-hoc analyses and contribute to cross-functional projects within the planning team.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Grande École de Commerce (césure/end-of-study) or an Engineering school and available for a 12‑month apprenticeship.
  • Strong interest in luxury, fashion and retail planning or business analysis roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (database management, PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF) and solid skills in PowerPoint.
  • Autonomous, rigorous and detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities and a results-driven mindset.
  • Proactive, able to take initiatives and adapt to high‑intensity periods and peak activity.

Experience

Beginners accepted; suitable for students in business or engineering schools. Prior internships or exposure to retail, merchandising or data analysis are advantageous but not mandatory.
