Regional Director, Europe — Beauty & Fragrance
Hermès Parfums & Beauté seeks a Regional Director, Europe — Beauty & Fragrance in Paris to lead commercial strategy across retail, travel retail, export and e‑commerce.
Overview
Hermès Parfums & Beauté is the fragrance and beauty division of the Hermès maison, recognised for its craftsmanship-led approach and discreet luxury. The division operates internationally across direct retail, selective distribution, travel retail and e‑commerce, bringing artisanal olfactory creations to a premium global clientele.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and deploy the commercial strategy and annual objectives for each European market and distribution channel (direct markets, export, travel retail, e‑commerce).
- Own zone P&L metrics: monitor performance, drive profitability and implement corrective actions to meet financial targets.
- Develop, negotiate and animate partnerships with distributors, agents and local subsidiaries to ensure coherent brand representation and commercial execution.
- Lead, inspire and develop a multicultural regional team (9 direct reports), establishing clear KPIs, career development and cross‑market collaboration.
- Coordinate closely with central functions (marketing, product, operations) and local market teams to align commercial plans, launches and retail initiatives.
- Champion retail excellence and selective beauty culture across all channels, ensuring premium client experience and rigorous execution at scale (c. 10,000 doors).
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac +5) or equivalent higher education.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial and marketing experience, ideally with responsibility for direct markets and cross‑border distribution.
- Demonstrated expertise in selective beauty and luxury retail with strong retail culture and channel knowledge (travel retail, export, e‑commerce).
- Proven P&L management and commercial acumen with results‑oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and managerial skills in multicultural, matrixed environments.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
Experience
At least 10 years in commercial and marketing roles within selective beauty or luxury goods, with demonstrated experience leading regional teams, managing distributor networks and delivering P&L results across multiple channels and countries.
Education
Master's degree or equivalent (Bac +5).
