CREATION JMC (Hermès H.A.B) in Magny‑le‑Hongre seeks a Methods Engineer – Product Development to lead jewellery development and industrialization projects.

Overview

CREATION JMC operates as a specialised jewellery workshop within the H.A.B internal manufacturing network for Hermès Bijouterie. The atelier combines artisanal savoir‑faire (bijouterie, polishing, setting) with development capabilities through its design office, methods and industrialization teams, serving mid‑ and high‑jewellery projects across multiple French sites.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate product development and industrialization projects from early mockups/assays through pre‑series validation, ensuring aesthetic, quality, schedule and cost objectives are met.
  • Act as primary interlocutor for internal clients, production ateliers and external subcontractors, maintaining clear cross‑functional communication with design, methods, foundry, planning, supply and quality teams.
  • Define and monitor project plans and retro‑plannings; anticipate risks, raise alerts to the appropriate level and implement corrective action plans to secure delivery milestones and target budgets.
  • Manage administrative project tasks during quotation and planning phases: order prototypes, studies and tooling; budget and cost parts for production and tests.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation: manufacturing routings (gammes), product bill of materials (nomenclatures), detailed work instructions and ERP imports/maintenance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and transversal projects, support production and quality teams on process implementation and controls, and liaise on after‑sales/repair improvements.
  • Plan and execute inter‑site travel as required to follow projects and coordinate team exchanges.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' proven professional experience in project management and coordination within the jewellery sector.
  • Engineering diploma or equivalent university Master's level (Bac+5) in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • Strong organisational rigour, autonomy and capacity to work under changing, challenging conditions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to federate cross‑functional teams.
  • Client‑oriented mindset with results focus and solid analytical and synthesis capabilities.

Experience

At least two years' experience in project management and coordination within the jewellery or fine‑metal manufacturing sector, with hands‑on exposure to development and industrialization cycles.

Education

Engineering degree or university Master's (Bac+5) in engineering or a related technical field.
