HMM — Laboratory Technician (Temporary) in Champigny‑sur‑Marne: perform climatic, mechanical and chemical tests on high‑end metal components.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule laboratory tests; receive and register samples and requests, follow up on missing information and resolve anomalies.
  • Prepare and conduct climatic tests (salt spray, artificial perspiration, humidity/heat chambers) and mechanical tests (tensile, compression).
  • Perform chemical analyses including spectrometry and other relevant analytical techniques.
  • Interpret results and author clear, technical end‑of‑test reports.
  • Perform routine laboratory duties: equipment cleaning, inventory management, handling of consumables and controlled disposal of laboratory waste.
  • Report operationally to the Laboratory Manager and support continuous improvement of test methods and laboratory procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (Bac+2) or Bachelor (Bac+3) in metallurgy, chemistry, materials science, physical measurement or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a laboratory environment, ideally with metallurgical or surface‑treatment testing.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety and waste handling procedures.

Experience

Minimum 3 years' laboratory experience, preferably in testing or quality control of metal components and surface treatments.

Education

Associate degree (Bac+2) or Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) in metallurgy, chemistry, materials science or physical measurement.
