Hermès — Paris: Compensation, Benefits & Social Cost Control Apprentice (alternance) in the Data, Technology & Innovation pole. 12-month apprenticeship starting Sept 2026.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support preparation of annual and periodic salary reviews: collect data, format files and monitor deadlines in coordination with HR business partners.
  • Assist in preparing salary proposals for internal mobility and external recruitment using internal and external benchmarking data.
  • Contribute to job evaluation and maintenance of the internal grading structure.
  • Prepare internal communication materials explaining remuneration and benefits schemes to employees.
  • Produce HR reports for leadership (headcount, payroll mass, age pyramids, seniority) and maintain recurring dashboards.
  • Participate in budget monitoring for headcount and payroll: payroll/accounting reconciliations, simulations and projections.
  • Contribute to the implementation of budgets by department and support strategic workforce planning analyses.
  • Provide regulatory watch on remuneration and benefits matters and prepare summary notes for HR officers and the manager.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Master’s program in Human Resources, Management, Finance or Business School with a specialization in HR/Compensation & Benefits.
  • Strong interest in remuneration, benefits and HR analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with a Business Intelligence (BI) tool is appreciated.
  • Demonstrated rigor, organizational skills and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex data; curious and willing to learn.
  • Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.

Experience

Open to beginners; suitable for students seeking an apprenticeship (alternance) as part of a Master’s-level program. Practical interest or prior academic exposure to compensation, benefits or HR analytics is desirable.

Education

Master’s degree in progress in HR, Management, Finance or Business School with a specialization in HR/Compensation & Benefits.
