Accounting Apprentice
Hennessy in Cognac seeks an Accounting Apprentice (DCG, on‑site) for a two‑year apprenticeship in accounts payable and SAP processing.

Role & Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices for designated categories (Services Matières Sèches year 1; transport and ORECO storage costs year 2): receive, scan into SCAN and verify data capture in KOFAX (supplier, invoice/credit note, invoice date, due date, OA status).
- Check mandatory invoice details, recoverable VAT, general ledger and cost‑account coding, intercompany codes and payment due dates.
- Launch and follow SCAN work‑flows to obtain required approvals and validate invoices in SAP after matching with received purchase orders; record non‑PO invoices following payment authorisations.
- Handle supplier enquiries and follow up on supplier reminders.
- Scan other accountants' supplier invoices as required and perform filing and archiving of routine dossiers.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors and respond to audit questions.
- Support other accounting positions as needed and prepare a monthly analysis of payment due dates for continuous‑improvement meetings (second year).
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a DCG (Diplôme de Comptabilité et de Gestion) programme for a two‑year apprenticeship.
- Rigorous, highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Discretion, intellectual curiosity and a strong appetite to learn.
- Basic proficiency with office software; willingness to master company accounting tools.

Experience
Entry‑level. Suitable for candidates beginning their professional career and currently pursuing a DCG; prior internships or coursework in accounting are advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Currently enrolled in or accepted onto a two‑year DCG (Diplôme de Comptabilité et de Gestion) apprenticeship program.
