Quality Engineer
Guerlain in Chartres is hiring a Quality Engineer to join the cosmetics laboratory (work-study/internship) supporting investigations and non-conformity management.

Role & Responsibilities
- Report to the Laboratory Manager and collaborate closely with production, quality assurance and bulk control teams.
- Work in tandem with the quality technician to manage and document bulk non-conformities.
- Conduct investigations into non-conforming analytical results to determine root cause and inform lot disposition decisions.
- Prepare and lead weekly review meetings to track non-conforming references and associated corrective action plans.
- Provide on-floor quality support during AIC (analytical/industrial control) sessions with production supervisors.
- Contribute to laboratory AIC meetings by escalating quality alerts for decision-making with laboratory and site quality leaders.
- Coordinate rework and retesting actions with short-term production planning.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings with R&I and industrial teams to resolve recurrent non-conformity issues.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recently completed a Bac +5 (Master’s level) scientific programme — engineering, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, cosmetics science or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Organised, autonomous and proactive, with an aptitude for structured problem-solving.
- Clear verbal and written communication; able to prepare and lead technical meetings and follow up action plans.

Entry-level; suitable for candidates in a work-study/alternance programme or recent graduates with limited professional experience in quality or laboratory environments.
Education
Master’s degree (Bac +5) in engineering, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, cosmetics science or closely related scientific discipline.
