Guerlain seeks an HSE Engineer Apprentice in Orphin, France — two‑year alternance starting Sept 2026 supporting site safety, ISO 14001 and environmental programmes.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the site Health, Safety & Environment team in rolling out the HSE culture across a growing production facility.
  • Monitor and report safety performance indicators; contribute to investigations and incident reporting.
  • Manage and follow up the site safety action plan, ensuring closure of corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update the site risk assessment document (document unique d’évaluation des risques professionnels).
  • Prepare and animate safety briefings and local safety points; accompany teams in deploying safety improvements.
  • Follow up on waste management processes and propose improvement actions to reduce environmental impact.
  • Assist in maintaining the environmental management system in line with ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Coordinate the site’s internal Safety & Environment communications and support weekly technical rounds to monitor energy consumption and technical KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Master’s-level programme (or equivalent) in HSE, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline, available for a two‑year alternating contract starting September 2026.
  • First professional experience (internship or alternance), ideally in an industrial or production environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to animate briefings and work with cross‑functional teams.
  • Organised, autonomous, curious and proactive with a practical, solution‑oriented approach.
  • Driving licence and personal vehicle due to limited public transport access to the Orphin site.

Experience

Currently enrolled in a Master’s programme (HSE, Environmental Engineering, Industrial or equivalent) and eligible for a two‑year alternance/apprenticeship.
