Guerlain seeks a Part-time Beauty Consultant (18 hrs) at H Beauty, Edinburgh. Deliver luxury service and achieve sales targets for the Guerlain counter.

Overview

Guerlain is a historic French luxury house specialising in perfume, skincare and make-up and operates within the Perfumes & Cosmetics division of the LVMH group. Role & Responsibilities

  • Proactively sell Guerlain products and meet or exceed individual sales targets through persuasive, consultative selling.
  • Cross-sell across product categories to increase average transaction value (ATV) and average transaction units (ATU).
  • Deliver personalised luxury service including product demonstrations and flash make-overs; confidently explain product benefits and overcome objections.
  • Initiate customer contact both on-counter and through traffic-stopping techniques; identify, reformulate and satisfy client needs to build long-term loyalty.
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and educate clients about the Guerlain range and brand heritage.
  • Achieve service quality KPIs, including Mystery Shopping targets.
  • Participate in merchandise management and visual standards in line with corporate guidelines; monitor stock levels and report discrepancies to the Counter Manager.
  • Complete assigned operational and administrative duties, adhere to company and store policies, and collaborate with store management and department store colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Immaculate personal presentation and a manner that reflects luxury brand standards.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a strong client-focus.
  • Proven selling ability or demonstrable aptitude for consultative retail sales.
  • Practical knowledge of cosmetics and basic make-up application; able to perform product demonstrations.
  • Tenacious, results-oriented attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile to develop business and client relationships.
  • Availability to work the advertised part-time schedule (18 hours per week), including retail peak times such as weekends.

Experience

Entry-level (Beginner). Prior experience in beauty or luxury retail sales is desirable but not mandatory; demonstrable make-up or product knowledge and a customer-facing background are advantageous.
