Stock Controller

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

• Organise and maintain the stockroom in strict accordance with Gucci procedures and visual standards.
• Plan, execute and participate in inventory operations; monitor shrinkage, unknown markdowns and loss-prevention measures.
• Receive, inspect, tag and log incoming product, supplies and deliveries; ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Control and supervise inter-store transfers, returns and other stock movements to ensure timely, auditable transactions.
• Manage replenishment from stockroom to shop floor, supervise flow of goods and act as a runner when required to support the sales team.

Qualifications

• Some prior experience working in a retail stockroom, warehouse or inventory role.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving boxes safely.
• Comfortable working varied hours and days, including weekends.
• Proficient in MS Office and demonstrably technology‑savvy.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to loss‑prevention and inventory control procedures.

Skills

Experience

Some experience in a retail stockroom or warehouse environment is required; hands-on experience with inventory operations, transfers and replenishment preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in logistics, warehousing or retail is advantageous.
