Gucci seeks an Operations Manager in Toronto to lead store operations, inventory and team execution. (Gucci, Toronto)

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the store operations team, driving operational excellence and adherence to Gucci’s service and procedural standards.
  • Oversee inventory integrity and stockroom efficiency, including cycle counts, scheduled inventories, reconciliations and discrepancy resolution.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes, transfers, damages and repairs according to company guidelines; escalate and resolve exceptions.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty in rotation: open/close procedures, floor coverage, and support the selling process to ensure exceptional client service.
  • Coach, train and onboard new hires and existing staff on operations policies, loss-prevention and retail systems; maintain up-to-date operations documentation.
  • Partner with the Store Director and corporate departments (Inventory Planning, Inventory Control, Accounts Payable, etc.) to align store operations with wider business objectives.
  • Support store projects including openings, closures and remodels within the region and travel as required.
  • Procure store and office supplies and assist with boutique physical maintenance to ensure an optimal client environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of retail or service-industry operations experience, preferably within luxury retail and in a supervisory capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Right to work in Canada is required.
  • Proven leadership and people-development experience, with the ability to create a collaborative, positive workplace.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritise, problem-solve and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to travel regionally to support openings, closures and remodels.

Experience

Five to seven years of progressive operations experience in retail or a service-related industry, with prior responsibility for inventory management, supervisory oversight and participation in store openings or remodels.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Benefits

Base salary range $75,000–$90,000 CAD per year; bonus potential. Commissions for eligible employees, participation in an employee benefits program and other incentive programs, subject to program rules.
