Overview

Groupe Les Echos Le Parisien is a major French media group operating national and local news brands. The organisation combines fast-paced newsroom operations with cross-platform publishing (print, web, video, podcasts), offering interns exposure to editorial workflows and collaboration across editorial, marketing and legal functions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive press research and compile documentary dossiers for journalists using the internal database, press aggregators, web sources and paper or digitised archives
  • Select, index and tag articles in the internal document management system (GED)
  • Produce newsletters and editorial news forecasts to support reporting desks
  • Provide targeted documentary support to multiple editorial teams (local, national, print, web, data & innovation, infographics, video, podcast)
  • Contribute proposals to improve the Documentation service’s processes, tools and communication with journalists and other departments

Qualifications

  • Enrolled at minimum at Bac+3/Bachelor (third year) or Bac+4 level; students preparing for journalism schools are encouraged to apply
  • Strong general culture and pronounced interest in national and international current affairs
  • Good organisational skills, rigor and attention to detail when indexing and managing sources
  • Strong written communication skills in French

Experience

Open to beginners; suitable for students with little or no professional experience but with academic training or coursework in journalism, media studies, library/information science or related fields.

Education

Bachelor-level studies (Bac+3) or fourth-year undergraduate/master-level coursework, preferably in journalism, media studies, documentation/information science or a related discipline.
