Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador for the Ardbeg brand, passionately advocating its values.
  • Oversee day-to-day food preparation, ordering, and delivery in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and House Manager to create and implement new menus and tasting experiences.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products and provide guidance on food pairings.
  • Ensure stock levels of all food items are maintained.
  • Support the Head Chef in achieving budget targets, particularly in food cost management.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Hygiene policies in the kitchen.
  • Complete and communicate necessary risk assessments, accident reports, and routine inspections.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a busy operational environment.
  • Experience cooking to a two AA Rosette standard.
  • Familiarity with stock systems and till systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to manage diverse situations, including interactions with the public and VIPs.

Skills

Strong situational management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Technological proficiency. Good sense of humor reflecting the brand's tone.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years in a high-pressure culinary environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and culinary excellence.
