Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the Ardbeg Distillery as Site Leader, shaping its future and legacy.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ISO, Health & Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Drive a culture of safety excellence and manage site safety performance.
  • Develop and execute strategies for distilling, maturation, and whisky supply to achieve business goals.
  • Optimize distillery operations to meet production quality, performance, and budgetary targets.
  • Cultivate a high-performing team to deliver impactful solutions for business growth.
  • Control and minimize costs and losses throughout the production process.
  • Oversee upgrade projects and new installations to modernize facilities.
  • Implement maintenance and replacement programs to safeguard assets.
  • Manage on-site contractors, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Production & Supply Chain Director to set KPIs and drive business improvements.

Qualifications

  • IBD Diploma in Distilling or BSc in Brewing & Distilling
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g., Science, Engineering)
  • NEBOSH qualification advantageous

Experience

Proven and established experience in a leadership role within the Distillation, Brewing, or Food & Beverage Industry.
