Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and instrumental quality checks on finished jewellery and repeatable mid-range jewellery under the supervision of product referents.
  • Carry out intermediate controls such as weighing, component and sub-assembly testing, and other technical verifications.
  • Prepare items for inspection (presentation on trays, reconditioning) and manage physical handling of product during control operations.
  • Record daily inspection results into the quality tracking database and contribute to the drafting and maintenance of quality documentation (e.g. control procedures).
  • Participate in supplier quality meetings: share inspection reports, follow up on corrective actions and improvement requests.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a HBJO (jewellery-making) or Gemology vocational programme, or equivalent jewellery training.
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to inspect small items visually and with a loupe.
  • Demonstrable rigour, organisation and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Curiosity and a strong appetite for learning; English proficiency is a plus.

Experience

Entry-level — suitable for students in training or candidates with little to no prior professional experience in quality control; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
