ICT Apprenticeship Coordinator & Project Engineer
ETA SA (Swatch Group) in Grenchen seeks an ICT Apprenticeship Coordinator & Project Engineer (on‑site) to lead ICT vocational training and support digital projects.

Role & Responsibilities
- Own and manage the company’s vocational training programme for ICT apprentices: design training plans, coordinate with vocational schools and authorities, supervise practical training and assess apprentices’ progress.
- Coach, mentor and evaluate apprentices and trainees, fostering technical competence and professional development within a structured Swiss VET framework.
- Develop and deliver technical and soft‑skills workshops, on‑the‑job assignments and assessment criteria aligned with business needs.
- Act as Project Engineer for digital initiatives (approx. 30%): translate business requirements into project plans, drive implementation of programmes such as digital manufacturing, IT Service Management and security-related improvements.
- Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders, internal IT, production teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance of projects.
- Maintain technical and training documentation, report project and apprenticeship KPIs to management, and propose continuous improvements to processes and curricula.
- Promote a digital mindset across operations and support the roll‑out of transformation initiatives in collaboration with business partners.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a vocational trainer, apprenticeship supervisor or Berufsverantwortliche/r for ICT professions, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Technical background in ICT, electronics or engineering (diploma, technician degree or equivalent).
- Practical project management experience; formal project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) is an advantage.
- Strong pedagogical and coaching competence with the ability to assess technical skills and behavioural competencies.
- Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach to managing concurrent training and project responsibilities.

Experience
Several years of hands‑on experience in ICT or technical roles, including demonstrable experience supervising apprentices or trainees and proven involvement in IT or digital transformation projects.
Education
Vocational or tertiary qualification in ICT, electronics, engineering or a related discipline; further credential in vocational training/adult education or a recognised trainer qualification is desirable.
