Operational IT Manager
EM Microelectronic seeks an Operational IT Manager in Marin, Switzerland to lead MES and manufacturing IT operations and delivery.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the IT Operations team, fostering high performance through clear objectives, prioritization, workload management, and mentorship.
- Ensure stable, secure and reliable operation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES, ISA‑95 Level 3) and equipment integration systems (Level 2) in a production‑critical environment.
- Define, implement and enforce IT operations governance, including incident, problem and change management processes and KPIs.
- Act as the operational IT counterpart to Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality on MES, shopfloor IT and equipment integration topics; clarify responsibilities and interfaces across ISA‑95 layers (L2–L4).
- Plan, coordinate and deliver multiple concurrent operational IT projects (MES, RMS, CMMS, APS), ensuring prioritization, capacity management, risk mitigation and on‑time delivery using PMI and Agile practices.
- Review and challenge technical and architectural choices for software, interfaces and infrastructure in partnership with the IT Architect.
- Manage external partners and system integrators for MES and equipment integration, ensuring SLA compliance, service quality and cost control.
- Centralize and structure operational communications and change requests; identify and drive continuous improvement to reduce incidents, downtime and technical debt.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience managing IT operations teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Deep knowledge of MES and ISA‑95 concepts, and of equipment integration (L2/L3 interfaces).
- Strong project management capability with experience applying PMI and Agile methodologies to concurrent initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing external vendors and system integrators with SLAs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality functions.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of IT experience supporting manufacturing environments, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing operational teams and projects related to MES and shopfloor integration.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electronics or a related technical discipline; a Master's degree or equivalent professional certifications in IT or project management is preferred.
