Delvaux seeks a Payroll & HR Administration Officer in Brussels to manage payroll, HR records and compliance.

Role & Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing in line with Belgian statutory requirements, ensuring punctual and accurate salary payments.
- Calculate and remit social security contributions, tax withholdings and other statutory deductions; prepare and file mandatory reports.
- Maintain and update employee records and HRIS data for onboarding, changes, leaves, and terminations, ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance.
- Prepare monthly and ad-hoc payroll reconciliations, management reports and year‑end documentation; support external audits and payroll provider interactions.
- Act as first point of contact for employee payroll and benefits queries, escalating complex matters to HR management or external advisors as needed.
- Coordinate with finance, external payroll providers and social security authorities to resolve discrepancies and improve payroll controls.
- Support HR administrative processes including contract administration, absence tracking, and maintenance of HR records.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, streamlining payroll workflows and strengthening internal controls.
Qualifications
- Practical knowledge of Belgian payroll legislation, social security and statutory reporting obligations.
- Strong numerical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to manage confidential information.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication skills; proficiency in English is expected — working knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an advantage.
- Demonstrable commitment to GDPR and data protection best practices.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2+ years of hands-on payroll and HR administrative experience, ideally within Belgium or a multinational company operating under Belgian legislation. Experience liaising with external payroll providers and preparing payroll reconciliations is expected.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
