Assistant Store Manager
Coach in Clinton, CT seeks an Assistant Store Manager. Hourly pay $18.50–$31.50; responsible for sales, operations and team development.

Role & Responsibilities
- Drive store sales and category growth by developing and executing sales strategies and clienteling initiatives in partnership with the Store Manager.
- Coach, mentor and develop store staff; evaluate performance, deliver timely feedback and create action plans to build a high‑performing talent bench.
- Manage daily store operations including POS, inventory, merchandising, payroll, scheduling and loss prevention to meet Coach operational standards.
- Forecast, plan and budget with the Store Manager to align staffing and financial resources with business needs.
- Represent the brand in-market through community and mall initiatives, events and customer outreach to build local loyalty.
- Resolve customer issues decisively and maintain high standards of service and brand presentation across the sales floor and stockroom.
- Recruit, interview and onboard new hires; delegate responsibilities and empower associates to achieve personal and store KPIs.
- Ensure interior and exterior store upkeep and safety by coordinating with corporate partners for esthetic and maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of prior management experience in a luxury or premium retail environment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Proven ability to coach, develop and manage retail teams to achieve sales and service targets.
- Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, holidays and other high retail traffic days.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and occasional loads up to 50 pounds; ability to climb, bend and kneel as required.
Skills
Experience
1 to 3 years of prior supervisory or management experience in a retail environment; experience in luxury or fashion retail is preferable and familiarity with marketplace trends and competitive landscape is expected.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
