Christian Dior Couture seeks a Retail Merchandising Manager — Men's Leather Goods in Paris to drive assortment, pricing and sell‑through across regions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial performance of the Men’s Leather Goods category (bags, small leather goods, belts): define targets, monitor sell‑throughs and implement corrective action plans with regional teams.
  • Act as the strategic bridge between the Business Unit and regional markets: communicate global strategy, translate it for zones, escalate market feedback and define price strategy across currencies.
  • Define assortment and clustering strategies by zone and collection; construct purchasing strategies and validate quantities per reference and per market.
  • Manage showrooms and pre‑buy processes: estimate line volumes, update purchasing tools and boutique segmentation, and lead buyer reviews and debriefs.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional activities with Product Marketing, Supply Chain, Retail, Digital, Visual Merchandising and other BUs to optimise product launches and in‑season rebalancing.
  • Monitor currency movements and competitive pricing; propose and implement repricing, alignments or other measures to protect price positioning.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master level) from a business school, engineering school or equivalent — specialisations in Merchandising, Luxury Management, Retail or Fashion preferred.
  • Minimum seven years' proven experience in retail merchandising or buying within the fashion industry, ideally in a central/ HQ role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and interacting with senior management.
  • Fluent written and spoken French and English; Italian is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for market visits.

Experience

Seven years or more in retail merchandising or buying within the fashion/luxury sector, with hands‑on experience in central merchandising, assortment construction, showrooms and direct collaboration with regional buyers and senior stakeholders.

Education

Master's degree (Master 2) or equivalent in Business, Merchandising, Luxury Management, Fashion or related field.
