Parfums Christian Dior in Neuilly-sur-Seine seeks a Retail Design Assistant (alternance) to support international merchandising and POS activations.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed merchandising guidelines for international markets to ensure consistent in-store implementation (≈30%).
  • Design and produce temporary POS displays and promotional materials for product launches across fragrance, makeup and skincare categories (≈15%).
  • Prepare execution documents and technical plans for production of POS elements and podiums using design tools (Illustrator, SketchUp) (≈15%).
  • Support retail activations and boutique animations through creation of merchandising dispositifs and ephemeral podiums (≈15%).
  • Create creative moodboards and visual concepts aligned with the Maison’s visual identity for merchandising launches (≈10%).
  • Prepare and manage creative briefs for 3D illustrators and external creative partners, including sketches, technical drawings and follow-up (≈5%).
  • Contribute to merchandising meetings by preparing presentation materials and tracking mock-ups and prototypes (≈10%).

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master-level programme (Bac +4 / Bac +5) in design, interior architecture, spatial design or equivalent.
  • First academic or professional experience in design, interior architecture or visual merchandising is preferred; open to candidates at the beginning of their career.
  • Fluency in French and professional command of English.
  • Demonstrable creativity, strong attention to detail, collaborative mindset, effective communication skills, adaptability and initiative.
  • Strong sensitivity to luxury retail design, brand identity and visual storytelling.

Experience

Entry-level: academic training and/or an initial internship or project experience in retail design, interior architecture or visual merchandising; readiness to work within cross-functional international teams.

Education

Master's level study (Bac +4 / Bac +5) in design, interior architecture, spatial or environmental design (Master 2, DSAA or equivalent).
