Jewellery CAD Designer
Christian Dior Couture seeks a Jewellery CAD Designer in Pforzheim, Germany — Rhino CAD expert to industrialise fine and fashion jewellery collections (permanent, full-time).
Overview
Christian Dior Couture is the haute couture and ready-to-wear jewellery division of the Christian Dior fashion house and sits within the LVMH luxury group. The maison combines artisanal craftsmanship with technical innovation, producing high-end jewellery and accessories that balance creative vision with rigorous manufacturing standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and industrialise four women’s and four men’s jewellery collections annually, from concept to production readiness.
- Produce detailed technical drawings and CAD models to specification using Rhino CAD, ensuring manufacturability and fit with production tolerances.
- Define and develop standard parts and components in collaboration with the industrialisation team.
- Operate and prepare plotter machines and other prototyping equipment to generate samples and production guides.
- Support prototyping, sampling and handover to production, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, production and quality teams to drive continuous process improvements and reduce time-to-market.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and version-controlled CAD assets for each collection.
Qualifications
- Vocational qualification as a goldsmith, stone setter or equivalent technical qualification from the jewellery industry.
- Minimum three years’ relevant experience in jewellery production, CAD design or industrialisation.
- Demonstrable experience in the manufacture of fine jewellery and fashion jewellery.
- Advanced proficiency in Rhino CAD.
- Practical experience with plotter machines and jewellery prototyping equipment.
- Service-oriented mindset, strong attention to detail and adaptability to iterative development processes.
Skills
Experience
At least three years of hands-on experience in the jewellery industry or in a technical CAD/design role supporting jewellery production, with demonstrable involvement in prototyping and industrialisation.
Education
Vocational qualification as a goldsmith, gem-setter/stone setter or equivalent technical diploma; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
