High‑End Footwear Production Trainee
IME LVMH Footwear Production Trainee (stage) — 6 positions in Padova, Italy; placement with Christian Dior Couture and Maison partners.
Overview
The Istituto dei Mestieri d’Eccellenza (IME) LVMH is the luxury group’s vocational training programme that partners with leading maisons and specialised schools to transmit artisanal know‑how. In Italy IME collaborates with local training institutions such as the Politecnico Calzaturiero to deliver combined classroom, laboratory and on‑the‑job learning with Maison partners including Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton and others.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in an 800‑hour integrated training programme (400 hours classroom/lab at Politecnico Calzaturiero and 400 hours of workplace internship within a Maison partner).
- Assist in production operations for high‑quality footwear, including preparation, mounting, assembly, finishing and basic quality checks.
- Follow technical drawings, process instructions and Maison quality standards to ensure impeccable finishing.
- Work alongside master craftsmen and production teams during placements at partner Maisons (e.g. Christian Dior, Rossimoda, Louis Vuitton).
- Attend IME masterclasses, didactic visits to Maisons and lessons in technical English terminology.
Qualifications
- Italian or EU citizen, or non‑EU national with a valid residence permit.
- Resident or domiciled in a municipality of the Veneto region.
- Age between 18 and 29.
- Not enrolled in any formal education or training course and currently unemployed.
- Registered with the Garanzia Giovani programme and in possession of a Veneto 'Patto di Servizio' (service pact).
- Completion of compulsory education.
- Demonstrable manual dexterity, patience, precision and attention to detail.
