Christian Dior Couture seeks an Assistant Boutique Director — Men's Ready-to-Wear & Accessories in New York; $120K–$140K + benefits.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial performance: increase sales, monitor conversion and key metrics daily, and pursue clientele development.
  • Support day-to-day boutique management including opening and closing the store and ensuring security procedures are followed.
  • Coach, train and develop sales associates to achieve individual and team sales and clienteling objectives.
  • Assign, monitor and motivate sales goals and manage staff scheduling and attendance.
  • Design and implement merchandising plans and in-store presentations in line with brand guidelines.
  • Oversee inventory processes: prepare transfers, manage damages, execute RTVs, and participate in stocktakes to minimize losses.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across cash handling, record-keeping, merchandise handling, and loss prevention.
  • Coordinate and execute sales promotion activities, trunk shows and in-store events to drive traffic and capture rate.
  • Lead regular store meetings to communicate performance, product knowledge, merchandising and training priorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of retail experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the luxury sector.
  • Proven commercial acumen and demonstrated ability to develop client portfolios and increase sales.
  • Strong fashion sensitivity and knowledge of luxury menswear and accessories.
  • Leadership capability: experience coaching, developing and motivating sales teams to achieve targets.
  • Flexible availability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, holidays and to open/close the boutique.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and follow-through skills.
  • Physical ability to maintain presence on the selling floor for extended periods.

Experience

At least 7 years of retail experience, including a minimum of 3 years in management within a luxury retail environment; prior exposure to men's ready-to-wear and accessories preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, fashion, retail management or a related field preferred.
