Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute traditional hand anglage (bevelling) and corner polishing on movement components to haute horlogerie standards.
  • Perform perimeter stretching, polishing of mouldings and refinement of contours.
  • Carry out surface finishes including softening (adoucissage), drawn finish (trait tiré), microblasting and blocked polish.
  • Apply additional decorative processes developed internally or by approved external specialists.
  • Perform autocontrôle (self-inspection) and document work to ensure compliance with finishing tolerances and quality specifications.
  • Maintain precision hand tools and uphold atelier cleanliness and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma in watchmaking (CFC/DEP) or equivalent qualification in micromechanics/precision engineering.
  • Proven experience in haute horlogerie hand-finishing and anglage on movement components.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity, fine motor control and visual acuity (loupe proficiency).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and respect strict dimensional and aesthetic tolerances.
  • Meticulous approach to quality control and a commitment to preserving traditional finishing techniques.
