Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development for soft accessories (e.g., scarves, small leather goods, belts, hats), from concept validation through industrialisation and launch.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders — design, sourcing, technical, production, quality and merchandising — to ensure alignment on timing, costs and quality standards.
- Manage prototype cycles, approve technical packs and oversee fit sessions and pre-production samples to secure brand-compliant finishes.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, track milestones and escalate risks; drive corrective action to meet seasonal calendar and commercial targets.
- Own supplier relationships for development and industrialisation, including selection, capacity assessment, negotiation and on-site follow-ups when required.
- Control costing and margin analyses for ranges; propose cost-saving or value-enhancing alternatives while preserving product integrity.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, sustainability and quality requirements; implement continuous-improvement initiatives in development processes.
- Mentor and coordinate junior team members and external partners to raise technical capabilities and delivery consistency.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership in product development for luxury accessories with responsibility for multi-season projects.
- Strong knowledge of materials and construction methods relevant to soft accessories (textiles, leathers, hardware, trims).
- Demonstrable commercial acumen: experience in costing, margin analysis and supplier negotiation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
- Fluent project planning and organisational aptitude with experience managing complex calendars and multiple launches.

Experience
Senior-level experience in luxury fashion accessories product development; typically 5+ years of progressive responsibility including direct management of development projects and supplier relationships.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in fashion design, product development, industrial design, textile engineering or related discipline; advanced degree or specialised training in product development preferred.
