Cheval Blanc Saint-Barth seeks a Beach Attendant in Saint Barthélemy — entry-level contract role assisting beach service, hygiene and guest hospitality.

Overview

Cheval Blanc Saint-Barth is the Caribbean Maison of Cheval Blanc, the luxury hospitality house within the LVMH portfolio. Situated on Flamands Beach in Saint-Barthélemy, the property offers an intimate, high-touch resort experience where refined interiors and bespoke service standards define the guest stay.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver impeccable, discreet guest service across the beach area from arrival to departure, including welcome, placement and cloakroom assistance.
  • Assist the Beach Chef in the preparation and service of beverages and light restauration, ensuring presentation meets Cheval Blanc standards.
  • Prepare, organise and maintain beach equipment and refreshment points, guaranteeing a seamless service flow throughout shifts.
  • Ensure strict application of hygiene and food-safety procedures (HACCP) in all beach service operations.
  • Clear, clean and sanitise lounge and dining areas during and after service; oversee maintenance of client-facing equipment.
  • Coordinate closely with kitchen, beach bar, laundry and maintenance teams to ensure operational harmony and timely replenishment.
  • Promote the hotel’s restaurants and culinary events to guests, contributing to the property’s cross-selling and guest experience objectives.

Qualifications

  • BEP/CAP or Baccalauréat Professionnel in Restaurant Service, Culinary Arts or equivalent vocational qualification
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated application of HACCP food-safety standards
  • Fluent French and English (verbal and written)
  • Familiarity with fine-dining or luxury-hotel service techniques; prior internship or initial professional experience in a comparable establishment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills and proven team spirit

Experience

Entry-level: candidates may be recent graduates or possess a first internship/role in luxury hotel or starred-restaurant environments; prior exposure to high-standard service environments is preferred.
