Chaumet — Paris: Data & AI Domain Lead to drive Data, Analytics and AI roadmap, governance and delivery for the maison.

Overview

Chaumet is a historic Parisian maison of fine jewellery, renowned for its craftsmanship and haute-joaillerie heritage and operating within the LVMH group. Based in Place Vendôme, the house combines centuries-old savoir-faire with contemporary ambitions, increasingly emphasising digital activations and modernisation across its retail and client engagement activities.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Operationalise the Data, Analytics and AI roadmap in close collaboration with business stakeholders and the IT Directorate, ensuring priorities, dependencies and timelines are rigorously managed.
  • Lead the Data/Analytics/AI governance forum and cultivate proximate relationships with Client, Omnichannel, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Finance teams to capture needs, challenge requests and secure measurable value.
  • Define, implement and enforce data governance (quality, integrity, lineage, security) and data management standards, including compliance with GDPR and coordination with legal, security and compliance functions.
  • Drive the replatforming to the Group solution (GCP), mature the data architecture (ingest, integration, storage, transformation, exposure) and scale platform capabilities to support business growth.
  • Accelerate self-service BI through certified datasets, modelling rules, best practices and adoption support for business users.
  • Sponsor end-to-end project delivery for the Data & AI scope (scoping, planning, specifications, delivery, testing, deployment and transition to run), combining hands-on contribution with vendor orchestration.
  • Ensure run operations and service levels for Data/Analytics/AI applications (availability, performance, data quality, processing times and support) and establish robust incident, change and documentation processes.
  • Manage and develop the Data/BI team (internal and external), allocate capacity, steward suppliers (time & materials and fixed-price), and control operational budget and vendor commitments.
  • Identify, frame and industrialise AI/ML use cases with demonstrable ROI; promote advanced analytics and translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to international roll-outs and adapt solutions to new countries, organisational changes or evolving business models while promoting a transverse data community to harmonise practices.

Qualifications

  • Engineering school, business school or equivalent university degree.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in information systems with a significant focus on Data and BI.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external vendors (régie and forfait).
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering Data/Analytics/AI projects end-to-end in a retail or consumer-facing environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management in matrix organisations and the ability to build consensus on priorities and trade-offs.
  • Fluent English (Anglais courant requis).

Power BI GCP Dataiku Fivetran SSIS SQL ETL Datavisualization AI/ML EPM GDPR compliance IT project methodology (scoping to production support)

Experience

At least 10 years in information systems with substantial responsibility for Data/BI activities, including proven leadership of internal teams and external integrators; prior experience in retail or luxury goods environments is strongly advantageous.

Education

Engineering degree, business school diploma, or equivalent university qualification.
